Notes: Violets used by children in playing games. The children separated into two teams, one team taking the name of their tribe and the other of another tribe such as the Dakota. Each team collected violets and the two parties sat down facing each other and snapped violets at each other until there were none remaining. The victorious team taunted the other as being poor fighters.
