The stem liquid, which was collected in the springtime, could be stored in the refrigerator and used whenever needed. Thompson Drug, Gynecological Aid Decoction or infusion of stems taken after childbirth to expel the afterbirth more quickly. The decoction or infusion was taken immediately after childbirth to expel the afterbirth more quickly. The stems were usually gathered ahead of time being pulled up, the roots cut off and the stems cut into short segments and dried.
